Y9 Graduation

Dear parents/carers

I am writing to inform you about the details of the upcoming Year 9 Graduation.

It is a fantastic way to celebrate the end of KS3 and mark the beginning of GCSEs and therefore, we would like to invite as many pupils as we can. Graduation will depend on a few things:

  • Attendance being above 90%
  • Positive behaviour
  • Achievement of pledges

Graduation will take place Wednesday 9th July for X band pupils 1:45-3:30 and Y band pupils 4:45-6:30. Graduation will be split into two sections; the awards ceremony followed by an afternoon tea.

At this point we would like to know how many tickets you will be needing in order for us to order the food along with any allergies we need to be aware of and anyone who would need ground floor seating. Tickets will then be sent out closer to the time when pupils have been confirmed as graduating.

Please could this online form be filled out to RSVP tickets. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=j748wq_ohEugfnLJq2pPrZCen0_ZR1lPlEnWI4euuVhURFhDNlNHWjI2SUFOQ1BGNTJMT0dVT0ZGTC4u

Pledges that pupils need to complete in order to graduate are- 3 bronze and either 2 silver OR 1 gold

Bronze- Represent The Academy, Academic Event, Formal Presentation

Silver- Sustainability, Fundraising, Community, Enrichment

Gold- Leadership, National Event, Residential

Pupils had a Pledges “planner sign off” just before Easter and will be doing another one before May half term which will allow them to see where they are up to. Any queries they have as to how to achieve them or if they are unsure what qualifies to achieve a pledge they can see Mrs Wilson.

A plea from us- we would like to include photos of pupils that take part in out of school activities such as dancing, football, martial arts ect if they could be emailed to wilsonp1@theallsaints.net

Please get in touch or ask your child to see us with any questions regarding to graduating.

Many Thanks

Mr Tweedale and Mrs Wilson

Parking Considerations around Rossington All Saints Academy

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Re: Parking considerations around Rossington All Saints Academy.

We hope this letter finds you well. As part of our commitment to ensuring the safety of everyone in our community, particularly our children, we are writing to address concerns regarding parking around school.

While we understand the challenges of the school run and the busy schedules many families face, it has been brought to our attention that some parking practices around the school have created potentially hazardous situations. Specifically, issues such as parking on pavements and grass verges, double parking, and causing obstructions are becoming increasingly problematic.

Safety Implications:

Parking inconsiderately around the school poses significant safety risks. Obstructing pavements forces pedestrians, including children, parents with pushchairs, and those with mobility aids, to step into the road, putting them in danger. Additionally, double parking and blocked sightlines make it harder for other road users to navigate safely, increasing the risk of accidents.

Legal Considerations:

It is important to remember that parking dangerously or obstructively may constitute a traffic offence. Parking on pavements and grass verges, double parking, and blocking access points can result in fines or penalties. As a policing team, we have a duty to enforce these laws where necessary to protect public safety.

How You Can Help:

We kindly ask all parents and guardians to be mindful of where and how you park when dropping off or collecting your children. Please consider the following:

– Park away from the school and walk the remaining distance if possible.

– Avoid blocking pavements, driveways, or access points for residents and emergency services.

– Respect double yellow lines, “zig zag” lines and other road markings designed to ensure safe traffic flow.

Working together, we can create a safer environment for everyone. Our priority is to ensure that all children can travel to and from school safely, and we need your cooperation to make this happen. I write to you in the interest of fairness, transparency and as a polite but final reminder. Whilst it is not my preference, my team will seek to take positive action where offences are discovered.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and support. Should you have any questions or wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours sincerely,

Al Jepson

Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant.
