Pride in Place

We would like to invite you to a Pride in Place meeting at Rossington All Saints Academy on Thursday 23rd April at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held by MP Lee Pitcher and will allow parents and students to discuss any ideas or concerns about the local area. Rossington has also just been given a substantial grant and Lee would like the input from the local community on how this would be best spent. Tea and coffee will be provided. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

After a tough year it’s been amazing to finally get out and about with our students this week!

Raising Aspirations… The week started with a visit to New College. On the day, Year 10 had the opportunity to sample some A-Level lessons and see what New College has to offer. Why not have a look for yourself New College Doncaster – Delivering Excellence in Sixth Form Learning (ncdoncaster.ac.uk).

Life Skills… Our Life Skills students have been lucky enough to visit the Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week. A great time was had by all watching the baboons, giraffes and lions in the lovely summer sun.

Outdoor Learning… Finally, our Year 10 geographers made it to Hornsea to carry out some GCSE fieldwork. Whilst on the beach they considered the effectiveness of the sea defences. After a short coastal walk, on the high street they conducted surveys to measure the impact of tourism on the local area.
