Careers Programme
Our Careers Programme provides every student with high‑quality, impartial guidance to help them make informed decisions about their future. The programme is delivered in line with statutory guidance for schools and fully meets the Gatsby Benchmarks.
Personal Careers Guidance
- All students have access to one‑to‑one impartial advice from our Level 7 qualified Careers Advisor, Nicole Moore (Progress Careers).
- Students who require additional support receive regular individual guidance throughout their time at school.
- Every student will have at least one personal careers meeting in Year 10 or Year 11, and students in any year group may request an appointment at any time.
- Requests for a careers meeting can be made through the appropriate Learning Manager, Mr Green (Careers Lead), or directly with Nicole Moore.
- Our Careers Advisor also attends Parents’ Evenings and key events for Years 9–11, including the annual Careers Fair and Year 11 Results Day.
Careers Education in the Curriculum
Careers learning is delivered through the EPC Programme and is aligned with the CDI (Careers Development Institute) Framework at both KS3 and KS4.
Students benefit from:
- Employer encounters each year, including guest speakers, assemblies, and themed “drop‑down” days from Years 7–11.
- Annual Careers Fair, featuring post‑16 providers, employers, and training organisations.
- Trips, visits, and in‑school workshops that connect students with employers, colleges, universities, and apprenticeship providers.
Our Careers Programme is continuously evaluated to ensure it remains effective, relevant, and ambitious for all learners.
