RASA Student Parliament

At Rossington All Saints Academy, students are at the heart of all we do. We believe it is essential that every student has the opportunity to share their views and play an active role in shaping our school community.

Our Student Parliament includes representatives from each year group, chosen to speak on behalf of their peers. They raise ideas, highlight concerns, and share feedback about school life. Working closely with staff, the Student Council helps turn student voice into meaningful action, ensuring positive change and continuous improvement across the academy.

There are many ways students can contribute during their time with us:

1. Step into Leadership

  • Join the Student Council to represent your year group and take part in key decisions.
  • Become a Prefect or House Leader to support staff, organise activities, and promote high standards.

2. Embrace Extracurricular Opportunities

  • Take part in clubs, sports teams, or creative groups — or even launch your own.
  • Represent the academy in competitions, performances, and community events.

3. Support and Mentor Others

  • Offer peer tutoring to help classmates succeed academically.
  • Act as a buddy for younger or new students, helping them feel welcome and confident.

4. Get Involved in Charity and Community Work

  • Organise or participate in fundraising events and awareness campaigns for important causes.

5. Share Your Talents

  • Contribute to school newsletters, blogs, or media projects.
  • Use your creativity in art, music, drama, or design to enhance school events and initiatives.

6. Have Your Say

  • Take part in surveys, focus groups, and student panels.
  • Collaborate with staff to improve areas such as wellbeing, inclusion, and school policies.

7. Champion a Positive Culture

  • Model the academy’s values through kindness, respect, and responsibility.
  • Support campaigns that promote wellbeing, anti-bullying, and inclusivity.

8. Play a Role in School Events

  • Assist with open evenings, parents’ events, and community projects.
  • Volunteer at sports days, performances, and other academy celebrations.

By getting involved, students not only enhance school life but also build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. Together, we create a supportive and inspiring environment where every student can flourish academically, socially, and personally.
