Auschwitz Visit

2nd May 2017

Ross Fairweather and Hannah Coope have been selected as the Lessons from Auschwitz student ambassadors for this year and, as such, on Tuesday 4th April they visited Auschwitz 1 and 2.  They had previously attended an orientation seminar to meet fellow students and gain further information and this was followed up by another seminar following the visit after which they will be organising a presentation that they will be delivering to other students in their collective worship assemblies.

Both Ross and Hannah were deeply moved by what they saw and that mankind could do this to fellow human beings.  They found the experience very thought provoking and felt saddened at the utter waste of life.

Mrs Mann, Head of Sixth Form, said "Both students are a credit to our sixth form for the mature way they handled some very harrowing sights."
